  • Rubber Gloves
  • Disposable Plastic Cups (1 per pot)
  • Deep Disposable Plastic Bowl
  • Finely Milled Glitter (colour of choice)

  • Outside, lay painters sheet or newspaper on ground or flat surface
  • Placing disposable cup upside down, position base of terracotta pot on top (used as a drying stand)
  • Wearing gloves, evenly spray the pot with one thin layer of paint
  • Wait until dry, spray again until opaque
  • Once dry, flip pot and spray base/any sparse areas until coverage is even and opaque
  • Leave to dry for 1-2 hours
  • Once dry, carefully stick a horizontal layer of masking tape across the bottom third of the pot to create a section to apply glitter
  • Paint area below tape and base of pot with PVA glue, saturating well
  • Empty glitter into plastic bowl
  • Roll pot with glue into glitter, trying best to apply evenly (once dry repeat this step if any sparse areas)
  • Use a gloss or satin finish clear spray paint to seal the glitter and white coating – optional
