To coincide with the re-release of our updated Festivale packaging, we thought it a timely occasion to also celebrate the upcoming Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. With that in mind, we have provided some delicious snack ideas to be shared with friends and family while watching the Comm Games at home. 

Smashed Avocado Nachos

Ingredients:

  • 1 tub Chris’ Festivale Smashed Avocado & Fetta dip
  • 1 tub Chris’ Festivale Corn, Chilli & Lime Mexican Inspired dip
  • 200g natural corn chips
  • 1 can black bean 
  • 1/2 red onion 
  • 1 large jalapeno, chopped 
  • 1 medium ripe tomato, finely diced
  • 1/2 tub salsa
  • 100g grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 avocado, chopped
  • ¼ cup roughly chopped coriander (optional)
  • 1 lime (optional) 

Method:

  1. Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius
  2. Layer corn chips in oven proof dish
  3. Scatter beans over corn chips 
  4. Drizzle salsa 
  5. Add all other ingredients  to the corn chips, apart from avocado, Chris’ Festivale Smashed Avocado & Fetta dip and coriander (if using)
  6. Cover chips with foil and place in oven for approx 10 minutes. Bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted to your liking.

Crudités Dip Platter 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tub Chris’ Festivale Smashed Avocado & Fetta dip
  • 1 tub Chris’ Festivale Spicy Green Pepper & Fetta (Tirokafteri) dip
  • 200g natural corn chips
  • 3 carrots, sliced long ways
  • 2 Lebanese cucumbers, sliced long ways
  • 1 red capsicum, sliced long ways

Method:

  1. Chop all the vegetables, long ways
  2. Place onto a platter along with a blow of chips and arrange the dips alongside the platter 

Party Platter 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tub Chris’ Festivale Sweet Potato & Coconut Sri Lankan Inspired dip
  • 1 packet of garlic naan bread
  • 2 Lebanese cucumbers, sliced long ways
  • 1 red capsicum, sliced long ways

Method:

  1. Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius
  2. Chop all the vegetables, long ways
  3. Place each naan bread on the racks of the oven, grill for 10 minutes
  4. Cut into triangle shapes and arrange on a platter
